Ada beberapa versi buku yng mnegatakan bahwa the ci=ore of public health is epidemiologi, antara lain ada pada buku::

a.       Buku berjudul MEDINFO 2001 “Proceeding of the 10^th World Congress on Medical Informatics, Volume 10 Part 2, Page 1180”. Dibuku itu dikatakan bahwa the central science at the core of public health is epidemiology. Buku tersebut dikarang oleh Vilma L. Patel, Ray Rogers, dan Reinhold Haux.  Tahun 2001. Diterbitkan oleh ISO Press.
